ABOUT THE Artists

Benjamin Domask-Ruh (St. Paul/Minneapolis) is a multi-disciplinary artist focused on Circus and Theatre’s ability to bring people together and to create memories.

As a juggler, clown, mime, and musician on-stage, he seeks to combine these disciplines into works audiences connect with on an emotional level. He collaborates regularly with Thom Wall.

In the classroom, he facilitates learning not by focusing on a product but by inspiring students with a curious energy. He believes this will result in creating more curious humans. He is a COMPAS Teaching Artist.

Administratively, Benjamin listens and cultivates relationships in the ‘Arts Non-Profit World’ as the Activate Rural Program Assitant with the Department of Public Transformation.

Behind the scenes, he collaborates to uncover the common thread of a project and invites everyone to bring forth their unique experiences and voices. His ability to adapt is key when discovering a project’s strongest voice. He serves as a board member with the International Jugglers’ Association. He is an editor for Modern Vaudeville Press.

Managed professionally by Afton Benson.

Thom Wall is an award winning juggler with credits performing for the International Jugglers Association, Cirque Du Soleil. Cirque MEchanics, Circus Flora, and many more beloved circus and juggling institutions. He is the founder of Modern Vaudeville Press.

His organic style has been cultivated through training with renowned juggler Stefan Sing, intense modern dance study with Donlin Marsh of the Martha Graham Dance Company, as well as acrobatic and theatrical training with Ringling Brothers’ Clown College graduates at the New England Center for Circus Arts in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Thom has always known that he would spend his life in the circus. He fell in love with juggling at a young age, delighted by performers on streets and stages across the country — an opportunity afforded to him by his parents as they moved the family coast to coast through his childhood. Thom was inspired by variety artists’ ability to convey stories and emotion through creative feats of daring and bravado. Since these early impressions, he has tirelessly refined his craft and has performed thousands of shows worldwide.

Today, Thom can be found performing at venues all across North America, for clients such as The Boeing Company, the United States National Guard, the YMCA, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, and Aveda. Most recently, Thom collaborates with Curtis Carlyle in a cutting-edge comedy juggling show entitled “The Hopeless Throwmantics” — A highbrow/lowbrow Vaudeville duet that features technical egg juggling, a tiny drum kit, and jokes about giraffes with only three legs.
