Trio Acrobatic - Building Blocks and Beyond
This workshop taught by the cast of I Think It Could Work will focus on the building blocks of trio acrobatics and how to use those building blocks to create your own sequences.
We'll work through columns (3 highs), banquine, and swing techniques all through the lens of novel movement. Our goal is to have participants explore entrances and exits, and leave having created something unique in their group. You don't need to come with a set group, individuals are welcome and encouraged.
THINGS TO NOTE:
Age minimum: 18
Prerequisites: Past experience with partner or group acrobatics is required for this workshop. Participants should be able to execute a cartwheel and feel comfortable holding their own weight on their hands.
Bases and Flyers: Must be comfortable walking in two high. Flyers: Should have some experience with flipping. Spotted or assisted flips are great, but some familiarity is required.
Workshop Accessibility:
Workshops take place at Circus Culture, which is a wheelchair accessible venue with a ramped entrance and accessible single occupancy bathrooms.
